Fine-print scores
Scored on the four criteria set out on the method page: terms findable and dated; worked examples in the bookmaker's own words; expiry stated as a rule; exclusions listed in one place. The best of the three in each criterion sets the ceiling; the score is relative to that, not to an ideal.

Sportsbet: one document, worked examples
The Bonus Bet Offer Terms & Conditions are a single help article with a date in the header, 3 March 2026, and nine numbered clauses.1 It's the only one of the three that prints hypothetical cap calculations inside the terms (3.3 and 4.3) and the payout example (7.1) in the same place. Against it: the state exclusion list is the longest, and clause 1.5 lets the bookmaker restrict markets after a token is credited. Full walk-through on the Sportsbet page.
TAB: numbered clauses, two documents
TAB's Promo T&Cs run from clause 59 to 70 and cover eligibility, rounding, fair play, excluded jurisdictions and bonus bet storage in one numbered sequence, with a 14-day review right if TAB decides you're not a recreational gambler.3 The My Offers T&Cs list every token type with its exclusions. Against it: the FAQ and the T&Cs disagree on the minimum split (50 cents against $1), the excluded-bet list is the longest, and turnover isn't explained in the promo section. Full walk-through on the TAB page.
PointsBet: the rules are in the help centre
PointsBet's promo mechanics are spread across help articles, each dated, and the articles are good: the payout formula, a negative exotic example, the booster calculation and the turnover rule are all spelled out.4 Against it: there's no single dated document with numbered clauses, no published state list, no blanket expiry, and eligibility "can change over time based on myriad factors". Full walk-through on the PointsBet page.
My verdict
If you want to know what a promo pays before you use it, Sportsbet's single document tells you fastest, TAB's numbered clauses tell you most completely, and PointsBet's help centre tells you in the plainest English but makes you look in several places. The arithmetic is identical at all three: profit only, seven days at two of them, one turnover on the deposit. Read the clause-by-clause page for whichever account you hold, and the checklist before any specific offer.
Questions punters ask
Which bookmaker has the clearest bonus bet terms?
On this site's rubric, Sportsbet: one dated document with numbered clauses and worked examples of the cap. TAB is close behind with numbered clauses 59 to 70 but two documents that disagree on the minimum split. PointsBet spreads its rules across help articles.
Do bonus bets expire at the same time everywhere?
Seven days from credit at Sportsbet and TAB unless the offer says otherwise. PointsBet sets expiry per token and its daily boosters expire the same day.
Which bookmaker returns the stake on a bonus bet?
None of the three. All pay the profit only: $50 at $2.00 credits $50.
Can I split a bonus bet at all three?
Yes: up to ten ways at Sportsbet, two to five at TAB (minimum $2 token), two to four at PointsBet where the token allows it.
Is PayID accepted for deposit offers?
The terms don't say. TAB limits deposit-related offers to online debit-card deposits; Sportsbet excludes Cash Card and BPAY. Check the specific offer.
Are these bookmakers licensed in Australia?
Sportsbet and PointsBet say in their own footers that they're licensed and regulated by Australia's Northern Territory Government. TAB is operated by Tabcorp under state wagering licences; its help centre footer doesn't print a licence line.
