BetStop
BetStop, betstop.gov.au, is the National Self-Exclusion Register, run by the Australian Government. Registering takes a few minutes and blocks you from every licensed Australian online and phone bookmaker for a period you choose, from three months to for life. Bookmakers must check the register, close your accounts and stop marketing to you. It covers licensed bookmakers, not offshore sites.
Deposit limits and account tools
Every licensed bookmaker lets you set a deposit limit, take a time-out or close your account from inside the app, and must honour it. Set the limit before you deposit, not after. Promotional eligibility can also be switched off by opting out of marketing in your account settings.
